DOWNTOWN

Here's a roll of film I took over the summer in the Lower East Side, West Village, and SoHo. Happy New Year and all that crap.

Catalpa//NYC

Below are way too many photos from Catalpa, and these are only the ones I liked from only 3 out of way more bands that I saw. I have more photos on Instagram (my DSLR died at the beginning of day 2 OOPS). It was part of my 4 days of live music and was great. It was the first year they held this on Randall's Island (AND MY FIRST FESTIVAL YAY), and while the weather didn't necessarily cooperate (the first day I was DRENCHED to the bone for most of the day) it was still a great time. I hope it's back next year (and I'm here for it). And I learned one valuable lesson: going to music festivals by yourself, while fun, isn't necessarily something you always want to do. I had a great time, but it would have been even better if I had managed to find some friend's who could go (and maybe getting soaking wet from a sudden-ish downpour would have been funnier).

So scroll through these or don't, I know there's a lot. And, go to Catalpa next year, or not too, if you're curmudgeonly.
