more tea please

So I have started to drink my morning chai in this wonderful little china tea cup that we got from my grandmother.  We have so many of these that don't match in a box somewhere in the garage just for me when I am older.  I feel so sophisticated reading the New York Times every morning with this.  I decided I absolutely had to use a fancy little cup and saucer after watching An Education, one of my new favorite movies.  If you haven't seen it already you MUST. . .  It is absolutely spectacular!

Downtown L.A.

My mother always has to explore everywhere she can when she has a car at her disposal.  She always manages to get lost in the most wonderful places.  It's one of those great road trip things that only some people are good at.  Getting lost is an art form when she does it.  So anyway these are from a mini "road trip" in Downtown L.A. and Chinatown.

If you couldn't tell already I'm sort of obsessed with this Poladroid software that lets you take digital photos and turn them into Polaroids.  It's awesome.

It does crops the picture a bit and makes the colors more old school, which I happen to love.

Now I just need to get some film for my actual Polaroid camera. . .

Audrey Hepburn Legs

With all of this snow lately I have been missing L.A. (hence the beach-y pictures of late) and so I have been looking back through all of my pictures from this summer.  This was taken at the Getty.  I loved this woman's outfit but didn't have the best aim.  I think it turned out for the better, don't you?

num num num num. . .

My little brother's friend's mom made these ah-mazing granola-fruity-chocolatey bars for us and I am addicted!  I can't stop eating them.  It's becoming a problem. . .   They just crumble in my mouth but then become gooey and then. . . OH WAIT WHAT?! CHOCOLATE?!  It's beyond description.

And for a Secret Santa at school I got these gluten-free brownies from a good friend of mine (who I happened to have for another Secret Santa, though I think I got the better gift).  They are also quite ah-mazing.  It's just chocolate chocolate chocolate with that wonderful texture that comes with gluten-free foods and only gluten-free eaters enjoy.  I finished these the other day, they lasted a good couple of weeks, and almost cried.  I want to get the recipes for both but I feel like that could be extremely dangerous. . .

what a wonderful sweater

So I got this new sweater, and I think I'm in love.  It just envelopes me and is so soft and cozy I never want to take it off. . .  I'm sitting here in it as I write.  All I need now is an American Apparel body suit for underneath...
