ha-ha-ha-harem

why is it that i still love harem pants after all this time? it's one of those things, like wine and something else, that just gets better with age. i've found some at free people that i LOVE, they have elastic at the bottom and are great. but unfortunately my mom wasn't willing to shell out for them.

check them out for yourself, they're great and super light and comfy for the summer. a great way to enjoy hot weather and not feel like killing yourself.

i have a bone to pick

with red rocks. that's right, that place that everyone loves because it's such an amazing experience to be amongst HUGE rocks and live music at the same time. but the thing is, it's HUGE. does anyone really enjoying seeing bands in amphitheaters or arenas, you might as well get some booze and a really loud stereo and keep turning the lights on and off really fast. i like to be close, i like to see the sweat drip down the artist's faces and really be able to see the effort and love they're putting into their music. AND, red rocks doesn't allow "professional" cameras. REALLY?! i have to use my shitty iPhone instead of my DSLR? i'm really not that professional and it's really not going to make a difference to you guys. and my polaroid and disposable and nine lens didn't turn out well...

so anyways, i went to Bon Iver a {few?} weeks ago and it was amazing. i got there two-and-a-half hours early and was in the second row {i was, sadly, still fairly far away}. the lights! oh the lights! they were beautiful they looked like boating lights or something and would flicker like fairies while your heart broke from the beauty of the music. and there was some torn up netting that just added to the broken-down-under-water-vibe that the lights had. i just couldn't contain my happiness. and the best part? i get to see him again in september at Radio City Music Hall. it's going to be bliss.

here are my half-way-decent iPhone photos. i'll just have to bring my camera next time.
